Capsaicin support in Downtown LA
The Bagavagabonds “TIME” Art Explosion was the fifth installment of their original concept that derives from the idea that art doesn’t always have to be judged with a critical eye or available to only a select audience…sometimes art’s purpose can be simply to inspire a feeling of creative expression, an idea that should be accessible to anyone and all. The event featured inspired artists from all over the world who created works based on the theme of “TIME”. The pieces were sold via silent auction, and in the spirit of complete accessibility, no piece was sold for more than 100 bucks. All art sale proceeds went to benefit the inspirational youth arts charity known as Room 13 LA, which is located in The Foshay Learning Center in South Central and this year with the help of variety of like-minded sponsors, like your’s truly from Prometheus Springs and our friends at Makers Mark and the countless generous and talented contributors, we raised over $2,500 for this beloved charity.
The Art Explosion movement began in 2007 with the “Animal” Art Explosion; “The Beatles” and “POP” Art Explosions followed the next year. After a small hiatus, last year the rebirth came storming back with our grandest effort yet, themed “Dream.” Complete with original short films, incredible skits and dance, and countless musical collaborations, these events have proven to be fun, inspiring and constructive for the art communities of LA and the world. Stay tuned for the next one…
