Burn For More Interview Series

Night crawling troubadour Luca Venezia, otherwise known as Drop the Lime of the Trouble and Bass crew is one of the world’s leading DJ/Producers  and a good friend of the Prometheus Springs family. Here in this exclusive interview he takes a moment  to sip on a Prometheus Springs and talk about some his latest creations and  motivations  before he hits the road on his appropriately titled  “HOT AS HELL” tour.

Where are you originally from?

Manhattan Island. Born and raised.

What inspires and motivates you to Burn For More in life?

Fine music, food, and Women of the night.

If you could have any super powers what would they be?

To fly and vanish.

You’re a man of many talents and sometimes its hard to sum them all up into one title. If you had to come up with one, what would that title be?

Creator

If you could eat dinner with any one band in all of history, who would it be?

KLF

You’re work ethic and talent has enabled you to travel  around the world  doing what you love and see a lot of great cities. Give us a couple favorites of yours and some reasons why?

Tokyo is overwhelming yet exhilarating. Sydney has lavish cuisine and sun-soaked beaches of bliss. London embodies cutting edge music engulfed within a maze of dark mysterious streets. Shanghai is a blade runner reality culture.

What new and exciting  projects are you working on right now ?

Just finished my full length album, Enter The Night, dropping in November. I’ve brought the rockabilly and western guitar influences from my band, Bad Lupo Grande, and combined it with my Bass heavy  DTL sound to create a  hybrid style of electronic music – fusing organic and synthetic sounds together to form a romantic and mysterious vibe.

How would you sum up the infamous Trouble & Bass crew to all our Prometheus Springs drinkers who might not be familiar with it?

We are a band of DJ’s who thrive off of attitude and energy of new and cutting edge club music. Bass being the main focus; Music that takes risks and pushes the envelope is what keeps us alive. We throw parties around the globe, DJ together as a crew, and have a label with an international roster that shares our same passion for electronic music.

What are the Top 5 Songs on your play list right now?

1. Zombies For Money -Sururumba

2. Drop The Lime – Hot As Hell (Canblaster Remix)

3. Mikix The Cat – Girls

4. Manaré – Blitzkrieg Riddim

5. Om Unit – Searching (Original Mix)

If you could give a little word of advice to all the kids out their who are chasing dreams, what would it be?

Stick to your guns.

Lastly, define success?

Build the perfect combination of motivation and passion, and the right team behind you. Nobody can make it out there alone, you need the right crew, right management, and right agents, who all share the same excitement for the same thing.

oh and here’s a couple behind the scenes shots of his forth coming music video ” HOT AS HELL”… Keep an eye out for it and make sure to catch DROP THE LIME when he come drifting through your town.
